about

This track is the first in an ongoing project called Songs of the Forest, inspired by the beauty and complexity of the natural world. The multi-layered tapestry of sound seeks to reflect the different species we may encounter as we walk through the forest. The song celebrates symbiotic relationships in nature - how different species can co-exist in a woodland.
The chant forms a continuous thread throughout the song while the piano and clarinet weave ever-shifting patterns above and below it.
